To me this was the saddest line in the game. It just struck me in a really odd way… “Then one day I was older than my older sister.” A simple sentence that says so much.

The entire estate has an atmosphere of something being very wrong, but the ruins feel the most messed up. Walking up to the house, it gives off the strongest sense of “You do not belong here.” I have never wanted to turn and run so fast. And once you get inside, you can almost feel the same weight Nancy does. You can just tell you’re in the hot zone. Wade wasn’t kidding when he said Blackrock Island belongs to the dead.

Does anyone else remember the Barbie & Friends Book Club? Those books were a huge part of my childhood. A lot of them were mysteries, or had historical themes. I read these alongside Nancy Drew in the nineties, and I’m sure they’re part of the reason I became so obsessed with mysteries. They were illustrated with amazing photographs of Barbie dolls, which were my favorite part. These are some of the covers. They totally captured my imagination. I could vividly visualize all the scenes and felt like I was actually there. Was anyone else in this club?

My center of operations is relocating!

This coming Friday I’m moving. I’ll be living with a friend in Illinois, not far from Chicago. I’m super excited to be getting out of my mom’s house and doing my own thing. I’m going by way of a 1,300 mile train trip on the California Zephyr. My first destination is St. Louis, Missouri (home of The Final Scene!) where I’ll spend a couple weeks with a good friend, exploring the city, taking a road trip to Chicago, and who knows what else. I plan on inducting her into the Clue Crew while I’m at it. It’ll be a heck of an adventure!

This also means I won’t be around very often during the month of June. I really want to participate in Fanfiction Month, but I doubt I’ll have time. I’ll definitely still be reading everything you guys write, though. Later on, when I’m all settled into my new place, I plan to start writing and posting fanfic, and I’ll probably use some of the prompts for inspiration.

I’m setting up a queue so the blog will remain active, but I may be slow to answer asks. For updates on my adventures, you can follow my personal blog if you’d like. :) Stay beautiful, rock on, fight the power, and don’t take any wooden nickels!
